One day, of course it will be too late

It’s never too late. If one phrase can be said to embody the more vacuous end of the optimism range of self encouragement, that has to be it.

Obviously, there will come a time when it’s too late. For anything. For everything.

The key, then, is to do something before it’s too late. Unfortunately, life being life, we can never be sure of the moment when what feels like a simple delay turns into “it’s too late”.

There is, however, a straightforward solution to this apparent conundrum: start now. Whatever it is you want to achieve, get going. Putting it off for one more day is simply another way of rushing to meet the fatal embrace of no time left.
